S.B. 2746  RELATING TO PESTICIDES                    LRE/ECD, WAM
        Makes various amendments to the laws relating to
        pesticides.

S.B. 3145  MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO ERADICATE      ECD/LRE, WAM
        INVASIVE PLANT SPECIES
        Appropriates funds to eradicate miconia on Maui.

        DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW, IF TIME PERMITS.

FOR THE LRE/ECD AND ECD/LRE HEARING, persons wishing to testify
should submit 45 copies (single sided, stapled, without holes) to
the LRE vice-chair's office, Room 217, State Capitol, 24 hours
prior to the hearing.

S.B. 2662  RELATING TO THE SITE RESTORATION AND          LRE, WAM
        POLLUTION CLEAN-UP FUND
        Requires DOH to assess a clean-up fee deposited into
        the site restoration and pollution clean-up fund in
        DOH on persons operating under water pollution,

 
        nonpoint source pollution management, integrated solid
        waste management, solid waste pollution, special
        wastes recycling, hazardous waste, underground storage
        tanks, and used oil laws.

S.B. 2971  RELATING TO ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENTS   LRE, WAM
        Amends the environmental impact statement law by:
        amending the definition of "environmental impact
        statement" or "statement" to include effects on the
        cultural practices of the community and State; and
        amending the definition of "significant effect" to
        include adverse effects on cultural practices.

S.B. 2672  RELATING TO CONFLICTS OF INTERESTS            LRE, JDC
        Prohibits a public employee from taking official
        action directly affecting familial undertakings.

S.B. 2676  RELATING TO CAMPAIGN ACTIVITIES OF STATE      LRE, JDC
        LEGISLATORS AND STATE EMPLOYEES
        Prohibits legislators and state employees from certain
        activities that use state resources to assist in the
        election of a person to public office, including using
        state time, equipment, materials, supplies, and so on.

S.B. 2721  RELATING TO LABOR DISPUTES                    LRE, JDC
        Authorizes civil actions for violations of law
        regarding hiring employees during labor disputes.
        Prohibits an employer from permanently replacing an
        employee involved in a labor dispute unless the
        employee has voluntarily resigned.
